Here is an old chair that my husband and I found on Craigslist a couple months ago. We got it for a complete make over. The wood was in a natural color, the fabric was very worn out and the foam and batting needed to be completely replaced. I usually would send it to an upholstery shop but this time we decided to do the work by ourselves. My husband found some tutorials online and we found a way to have fun with that over the weekend. The frame got a paint job in matte black and a new fabric by Sandra Romanoff (me!). We've started this job a few weeks before moving back to Brazil, so the chair is not finished yet but soon will be.
Getting back in track
It's been a week since we arrived in Sao Paulo and we're ready to start a new life here.
We have a lot of things to do and we are very excited to make things happen. It wasn't easy at all to leave our friends in San Francisco, but it's an excellent excuse to come back to pay visits anytime we want!
Yesterday was a rainy day in Sao Paulo and I stayed all day long in front of my computer trying to get things done from my to do list.
I've been planning my new apartment already even without having time to start to shop around yet, so it was a long day and fortunately I had time to browse a little bit to find some interesting poufs/ottomans that caught my eyes. The poufs Missoni are my favorites. I wish I could get one in my new place. :-) 
Brazil, here I come!
It's time to go home after 3 years living in San Francisco with my husband. We had a wonderful time here, we made lifetime friends and certainly we'll leave our hearts in the City!
It's challenging to leave this place but we're really excited to be close to the family again and of course not to mention the nicest weather in the world.
I'm moving in a few weeks, so my life is getting insane right now. I'll probably be absent for a while, but I promise I'll be back again with a lot of news.
In the meanwhile if I have some spare time to post something interesting, I will.
And talking about Brazil, here are some pictures with a typical Brazilian cotton fabric called 'Chita'. It's a very cheap fabric, known by colorful bold flowers that's usually applied at outside areas. It's definitely a good way to bring the tropical fun to your house.
